Communications Strategy Development

Developing a robust PR and communications strategy is at the heart of everything we do here at HMC.

We pride ourselves on taking a strategic approach to every project. Getting a good plan in place is always our first step. For each of our ongoing clients, we don't start any tactical work until we've sat down with senior management to understand the communications issues they face, the objectives they want to achieve, their audiences, key messages and more.

Our role is to take that information, develop a clever strategic approach and recommend both straightforward and creative communications activities to help achieve communications objectives.

The communications strategy process

Our aim is for your PR and communications strategy to sit alongside your business strategy and serve to create the right communications environment that allows you to achieve your business goals.

  • Workshop - The first step is a meeting or workshop with your senior team to brainstorm through your communications challenges and requirements.
  • Research - Often we may need to do some up front research to establish a baseline from which to measure communications progress against.
  • Plan - We then write up the plan.
  • Implement - All our plans lay out specific actions and timelines; you can choose to implement your plan with your own staff or by utilising the HMC team (or a mix of both).
  • Measure - We put measurements in place to ensure we're achieving the agreed objectives.
