Three things you didn't know about Bethany:
- She happened to be in the heart of Christchurch CBD – eating Subway for lunch – when the February 2012 earthquake hit
- She’s half Irish – ‘the troubles’ brought her Mum and her family from Belfast to New Zealand when she was just 10 years old. She’s never visited, but it’s on the bucket list
- She lost feeling in half her tongue after nerve damage from wisdom teeth extraction
