Launching world-first aqua bike: Manta 5
Ultimately the client wanted to launch its new product, a bike with hydrofoils, in order to gain national and international attention. It wanted to attract potential company investors and early product adopters.
We developed a communications plan, provided ongoing strategic PR advice for launch and some news story writing support.
- By the end of 2017, Manta5 had 30 million views on their Facebook page.
- They estimate that 9 million people looked at the New Atlas website article, written by the HMC team.
- Manta5 estimated New Zealand media coverage of their Gold award in the Concept category of the Best Design Awards got to 300,000 people (Newshub, Breakfast and Herald with video).
